Terms of Service

Effective date: September 1, 2026 · Last updated: September 1, 2026 · CityLot at https://citylot.lol

Important — not real estate A “lot” on CityLot is a paid public display slot on a game board overlaid on a map. It is not a deed, title, lease, easement, municipal license, trademark, or any interest in land, a city, a street, or a landmark. Names such as Boardwalk and City Hall are game labels.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and the operator of CityLot (“CityLot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern access to and use of https://citylot.lol and related pages, APIs, and payment flows (the “Service”).

By visiting the site, opening a city board, submitting a listing, or completing a payment, you agree to these Terms, the Official Rules, the Privacy Policy, and the Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

CityLot is a public, pay-to-display game. You may search a city, view a board of forty lots, and pay to place a name, URL or X handle, optional note, and favicon on a lot until another person pays the steal price described in the Official Rules.

Map tiles and geocoding may use third-party open map data. City and neighborhood names are for orientation. They do not mean CityLot, you, or any listing is affiliated with that place.

No account is required. A completed, verified payment is what claims a lot.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your place of residence, if higher) and able to form a binding contract. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under United States law or the law of your jurisdiction. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.

3. Lots, prices, and steal

Lot floors, color groups, and the steal multiplier are described in the Official Rules and shown on the lot’s deed card at checkout. In summary:

CityLot may change floors, inventory, city generation, or steal math for lots that have not yet been purchased. Once a lot is owned, the steal price is calculated from the amount actually paid for the current listing, as described in the Official Rules.

4. Payments

Prices are in United States dollars and are charged as one-time payments, not subscriptions, unless we later offer a clearly labeled extra product.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. X Money payments are sent by you to the handle shown at checkout with the unique payment note we generate. Cryptocurrency payments (currently Solana, Bitcoin, or Ethereum) are sent by you to the address and amount quoted at checkout. We do not take possession of your card number. Blockchain transfers are public and irreversible once confirmed.

A lot is not yours until we confirm the payment (Stripe paid status, or our confirmation of X Money / on-chain payment against the pending note). Pending notes expire. If you pay the wrong amount, omit the note, or send to the wrong address, we may be unable to match the payment.

Taxes, if any, are your responsibility except where we are required to collect them.

5. Refunds and chargebacks

Except where applicable law requires otherwise, all purchases are final. You are buying a digital display slot on a game that other people can take by paying more. That is the product.

If something is broken (duplicate charge, confirmed payment that did not appear, or a listing we removed in error), email topdog@puremoney.lol before opening a dispute with your bank, card network, Stripe, or X. Include the city, lot, approximate time, and any payment reference.

Unjustified chargebacks may result in removal of listings and, where permitted, collection of the disputed amount plus fees.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived, including any cooling-off or consumer rights that apply to you by law.

6. Your content

You retain whatever rights you have in the name, URL, note, handle, and images associated with your listing (“Listing Content”). You grant CityLot a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, cache, and distribute Listing Content on the Service and in screenshots, social cards, and activity feeds for as long as the listing is live and for a reasonable archive period afterward.

You represent that you have the right to submit the Listing Content, that it is accurate enough not to mislead as to who you are, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

Outbound links from listings are provided by you. We mark them as leaving CityLot. We are not responsible for third-party sites.

7. Prohibited use

You may not:

8. Our rights

We may refuse, hide, or remove a listing that violates these Terms, applicable law, or payment-processor rules, or that we reasonably believe will expose us or others to harm. We may correct obvious errors. We may change map styling, lot geometry, and city search without changing the fact that a paid listing occupies that lot id on that city slug.

We may suspend the Service for maintenance or security. We do not promise uninterrupted uptime or any volume of visitors, clicks, or backlinks.

9. Third parties

The Service uses or may use Stripe, X (including X Money), public blockchains, OpenStreetMap / Nominatim / OpenFreeMap or similar map providers, favicon lookup, and optional traffic or bot-detection scripts. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their processing. CityLot is not those companies.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that a lot will remain yours, that anyone will click it, that search engines will index it, or that map labels match official geography. Steal is a game rule, not a market, appraisal, or investment return.

See also the Disclaimer.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CITYLOT AND ITS OPERATORS, CONTRACTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CITYLOT FOR THE SPECIFIC LOT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR TEN UNITED STATES DOLLARS ($10), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some places do not allow certain limits. In those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify CityLot and its operators against claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your Listing Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

13. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after the update is acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Stopping does not refund a paid lot and does not stop another person from stealing it.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence still apply if they cannot be waived.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally through the contact below, courts located in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires otherwise for consumers.

If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, plus the Official Rules, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer, are the entire agreement for the Service. They supersede prior oral or written statements about CityLot. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
